I live in Youlgrave. I am a retired planner and still offer planning advice, taking a keen interest in renewable energy. I was founder chairman of Sustainable Youlgrave.
I joined the Party because the Greens stand for a fair society, more investment in local people and local services, an end to perpetual and unsustainable growth that’s costing the earth, and an end to the private sector arms trade. More and more people are tempted by the Green Party’s policies above all others [go to www.voteforpolicies.org.uk]
I’m standing for Derbyshire County Council to encourage more investment in renewables and in communities’ self-sufficiency. I’ll fight any proposal to approve fracking for gas, which is against the interests of the people of Derbyshire and of our planet. I’ll also press hard for many more traffic speed reductions, with the ‘20’s plenty’ group http://www.20splentyforus.org.uk - I’ll campaign for 20 mph in Dovedale’s villages and minor lanes.
INVEST IN A SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY

You’ll get my vote. We live in a village where the speed limit is 50mph!
